Champion Band is a group founded by gospel recording artist, Amante Lacey in 2007. This supergroup of musicians combined their talents and recorded a live album, titled Champion Live, released in 2010. They toured North America, gaining much success in New York, Chicago, Canada, and much of the Midwest. Their songs gained the attention of other recording artists, particularly Tye Tribbett and Byron Cage. Because of this, these artists recorded the group’s titles, Champion and Great and Mighty, landing them on top several of Billboard’s charts.
Titles from Champion Live appear on multiple records

Where did they go?
In 2012, the band recorded an acoustic album at Twelve 3 South Studio. Then, the group suddenly stopped everything after a tragic accident paralyzed drummer, Chriss Triplett. As a result, the project was shelved and the group took a break for an indefinite period of time.
Now, because of the upcoming 10th anniversary of their debut album, the group has decided to pursue plans to release the never-before heard acoustic record! In addition, they plan to release a re-mastered, 10th Anniversary Edition of Champion Live.
