The Donnie Reis Tippecanoe Violin is the first of many European violins in the instrument line, made in an affiliate shop in Romania and then serviced by hand in the New York shop. The Tippecanoe bridges your player from their student instrument to a more advanced violin. This is Donnie’s “road violin” he uses to play shows when he is on tour. The Tippecanoe has been to multiple stages with Donnie spanning the world from Afghanistan entertaining US troops to the 45th Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC. The Tippecanoe is varnished in a golden brown antique spirit finish. The violin is constructed by hand with a Carpathian Spruce Top and flamed Carpathian Maple back and sides. It is assembled with seasoned ebony fittings, German made Wittner Ultra Tailpiece and an Aubert Mirecourt Bridge. It is strung up with Thomastik Dominants that makes the violin sound rich and vibrant. It is protected in an oblong case with suspension, hygrometer and 4 bow holders. The violin includes rosin and a well balanced carbon fiber bow, along with a tuner, shoulder rest, polish and cloth.
